Ozzy Delighted by McCartney Meeting

Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne has admitted that he's fine with the fact that Paul McCartney declined an offer to collaborate on a song with him.

Ozzy is a longtime Beatles fan and even covered the group's "In My Life" on his 2005 album, 'Under Cover." Despite his fandom, he said he was flattered by McCartney's refusal.

"Meeting Paul McCartney was f---ing phenomenal," the singer told UK magazine Heat. Ozzy encountered McCartney while they were in adjacent recording spaces.

"I was in the studio at the same time as him, and tried to get him to play bass on one of my songs."

However, Sir Paul politely declined the offer to sit in with the metal icon.

"He said he couldn't improve on the bass line that was there," Ozzy shared. "I said, 'Are you kidding? You could piss on the record and I'd make it my life.'"
