Buddy Holly Box Set Issued
A new set featuring the full extent of Buddy Holly's musical career was released recently. The Buddy Holly - Not Fade Away: The Complete Studio Recordings and More features a comprehensive sampling of the influential singer/songwriter, from rough takes made at the age of 13 to some of the last demos he ever committed to tape.
The rest of the 6-disc set features Holly's work between 1956 and '58, when he was busy pioneering Rock N' Roll by blending Texas country and R&B with pop.
With tunes including "Not Fade Away," "Rave On" and "That'll Be the Day," the box set captures Holly's short but influential career, right up until his death in 1959 at the age of 22.
